This project, completed in 2013, creates a lively new district at the heart of the southern end of University of Cincinnati's main campus. Featuring retail, restaurant, office and residential space, the U-Square at the Loop project will breathe new life into the neighborhood. With 161 market rate apartments, over 80,000- sf of retail space, 40,000- sf of office space, structured parking and an event lawn, the development will bring variety and vibrancy to the college town.
Located on a long vacant and derelict site, the development borders the University of Cincinnati set in the unique and historical neighborhood of Clifton Heights. This blighted site consists of four city blocks and the new buildings are planned to frame a new gathering space where students, residents, neighbors and faculty can enjoy a unique urban experience. Additional retail, garage and office space are being planned for subsequent phases of the project.
